Return and refund policy

📦 Return authorization (RMA required)

  • All returns must be approved in advance.
  • A valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required before returning any item.
  • Returns received without an RMA will be refused.

🔧 Part compatibility disclaimer NEW

  • The customer is solely responsible for verifying that any part ordered is compatible with their specific vehicle before placing an order. Compatibility depends on year, make, model, trim level, engine size, transmission type, drivetrain configuration, and regional/market variants. We provide part descriptions and fitment information as a guide only.
  • Returns due to customer-error incompatibility are subject to the standard 25% restocking fee plus all applicable shipping charges.
  • We strongly recommend verifying the part number against your vehicle’s original part or consulting a qualified technician before ordering.
  • If you need assistance confirming compatibility, contact us before placing your order.

⚠️ Reporting damaged or incorrect parts

  • Issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and signed by both the driver and customer.
  • Notification must be made by phone and email.
  • Do not return the item until RMA instructions are provided.

🔩 Defective parts

  • A detailed written explanation of the defect is required.
  • Replacement will be offered first when available.
  • Refunds are issued only after the part is returned and inspected.
  • Labor, towing, installation, and diagnostic costs are not covered.
  • Return shipping costs are non-refundable.

✖️ Order cancellations

  • Before shipment: 25% restocking and administrative fee applies.
  • After shipment: 25% restocking fee plus all outbound and return shipping charges.
  • Incorrectly ordered parts are subject to the same fees.

💳 Credit card processing fee

  • A non-refundable 4% processing fee applies to all credit card payments.
  • This fee is not refundable under any circumstances, including cancellations or returns.

📮 Return shipping requirements

  • Customer is responsible for arranging and paying return shipping.
  • A valid tracking number must be provided.
  • Part must be returned within 7 business days of RMA issuance.
  • Item must be returned in the same condition as originally shipped.

🔎 Inspection & refund approval

  • Returned part must match the original shipped unit.
  • Identification markings must remain intact.
  • Refunds are processed only after inspection approval.
  • Refunds are issued to the original method of payment.

🚫 Non‑returnable items

  • Parts returned without an RMA.
  • Modified, disassembled, or tampered parts.
  • Returns after 7 business days from RMA issuance.
  • Electrically damaged components.
  • Parts not originally sold by FirstChoice Used Auto Parts.

📦 Refused shipments

  • Subject to 25% restocking fee.
  • All outbound and return shipping charges will be deducted.
  • Failure to respond to carrier delivery attempts may be treated as refusal.

⚖️ Chargeback & payment dispute policy NEW

  • By placing an order with FirstChoice Used Auto Parts, customers agree to resolve any disputes through our return and warranty process before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their financial institution.
  • Customers must contact us and allow a minimum of 5 business days for resolution before filing a chargeback.
  • Fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks will be formally contested with full documentation including tracking records, delivery confirmation, photos, and communication history.
  • Accounts involved in confirmed fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to relevant authorities and blacklisted from future purchases.
  • Approved refunds under this policy negate eligibility for a chargeback for the same transaction.

📋 Important return procedures (at a glance)

  • Things that are modified or removed to test will not be returned.
  • Items returned that aren’t the original item delivered will not be returned.
  • Parts are uniquely identified by the markings on the part.
  • Returns that are not in the same condition as when they were shipped (excluding items damaged during shipping and confirmed by a Parts Specialist at FirstChoice Used Auto Parts) will not be accepted.
  • All issues must be reported in the form of a letter sent by mail, email, or fax to determine if there is an issue with a specific piece of equipment.
  • In the case of a broken or defective part:
    • Contact our customer care department at 1‑(888) 383‑2439 within 24 to 48 hours from the time you received the package, or do not accept the package from the shipper.
    • Do not send the part back before you have received an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization).
    • The return of the part must include a return tracking number once it is sent back.
    • The item has to be returned within 7 business days from receiving the RMA.
    • The return address will be provided when we receive a call.
  • Parts should be delivered to the address provided upon receipt of the RMA:
    • Items returned to FirstChoice Used Auto Parts must be delivered to the correct address as stated in the RMA instructions at the cost of the customer.
    • When the item is returned, we’ll gladly provide a full refund of the purchase price in its original form or issue a replacement part.
    • When the item is returned, it will be inspected, and if approved, the credit request will be sent to the accounting department.
    • Refunds to customers are granted after the returned item is inspected and verified.
